JYSK Garden Transformation

JYSK Garden transformation

It feels so good to welcome spring with open arms, after what felt like a lifetime of cold winter months. I lost count of how many times I peered out from my kitchen window, over my dreary garden. I’ve been looking forward to the day I could step outside, without the freezing chill hitting me and be able to start turning my garden in to place I could call my sanctuary.

I’ve lived in my house just over a year and the garden unfortunately didn’t see any attention last summer, as I was decorating inside. This year is different, as I love being outside, especially socialising with friends in pub gardens, I wanted to create a space that felt inviting and social.

The gardens that inspire me are the ones that look relaxing and comfortable in the day and dreamily lit at night. I wanted to create a garden where I could eat alfresco, then lounge in style from day to night.

Once I browsed through the JYSK website, it inspired me to create a warming social sanctuary, full of lanterns and comfortable seating. I was spoilt for choice and it was easy to start picturing the perfect setting to enjoy with friends and family.

I started by selecting a bistro set, the perfect size for my small patio with stylish chairs that looked great and once in situ, felt so comfy. I was excited to go on and find some lounge furniture from JYSK that looked modern and relaxing.

Once I selected the seating and patio table, lighting was next on my agenda. As my seating was modern, I wanted lanterns and lights that felt similar. JYSK lantern designs are modern and original, I haven’t seen any that look quite as nice anywhere else. There are so lovely ones to choose from, it was hard to decide.

(Before and after the makeover…)

Fortunately JYKS artificial plants came to the rescue, where my garden lacks real foliage. A quick fix to create the look perfectly. Setting a backdrop for my new garden furniture and outdoor lanterns was a must in finishing the overall look. As well as some lovely planters to put them in, and not forgetting the pretty fairy lights that add some sparkle at the end of the day.
