Denby Pottery Competition

The beauty of social media brings about lovely collaborations between bloggers and brands. My instagram account @home.ideology reached 20,000 followers, yay! And there’s no better way to celebrate than with a HUGE giveaway in celebration.

This year I was invited to theย Denby Pottery village in Derby for an insightful tour of their factory and the history behind the pottery giant. Founded in 1809 Denby has been a staple of British dining for generations and continues to go from strength to strength, with it’s mix of traditional and contemporary tableware. Catering for nearly every demographic, it’s easy to fall in love with one of their many thoughtfully curated collections.

The Halo range stood out to me as I watched it’s journey through the factory. The process from start to finish is incredible and I was astonished to how many people and the craftsmanship that goes into making every piece. Each collection has to sit in different areas of the kiln when glazed, as tiny changes in temperature can create a totally different design.

Anyone can visit the Denby village, and I definitely recommend a trip with the family as there’s lots to see for a nice day out.
