Quilted Peach Galette

If you’re looking for a dessert that feels a little fancy but is secretly so simple, this quilted peach galette is exactly that. Buttery puff pastry, warm peaches, and a mix of cinnamon, cacao and brown sugar create the dreamiest flavours. The best part? It’s quick to make, comes together with a handful of ingredients, and looks effortlessly impressive when you bring it to the table. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup for that extra touch of indulgence.

Ingredients:

3 ripe peaches, sliced 1 ½ tsp cacao 1 tbsp cinnamon 2 tbsp brown sugar (plus extra for sprinkling) 50g unsalted butter, melted 1 sheet puff pastry Vanilla ice cream (to serve) Maple syrup (to drizzle)

Method:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan). In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, cacao, cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll out the puff pastry sheet onto a lined baking tray. Spread a thin layer of the butter mixture over the base of the pastry. Arrange the peach slices in a quilted pattern over the pastry. Fold in the edges of the pastry to create a rustic crust. Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon and brown sugar over the top. Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the peaches are tender. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.
